Visual Identity + Print
Huron County Community Foundation
Huron County Community Foundation is a nonprofit community organization established by the residents of Huron County to foster a positive impact within the community.
This campaign represented a huge step for the Huron County Community Foundation. Their executive director was concerned that the piece feels “like them.” She didn’t want something that felt too big city, or stock images that bore no resemblance to their community. This project also represented the first time they had worked with a marketing professional to create a branded look for the organization.
Mind Over Marketing worked with the client to source original art and photos from local photographers. The resulting pieces showcased the beauty and unique aspects of the entire county. This community is rural, simple and centered around farming. The Foundation did not have a defined visual brand identity, so Mijaart and Design stepped in and created a fresh visual identity that builds upon the existing logo, colors, and fonts. The brochure, folder, and mailers have a friendly and approachable design rather than modern, old-fashioned, or trendy. The logo colors were quite bold, and cosiquently prompting the addition of a secondary color palette to help soften their promotional materials.
